Ellie Lockhart Coaching
Registered Professional Clinical Hypnotherapist
I am a full Registered Professional member of the NZ Association of Professional Hypnotherapists Inc. This means you can be assured that I have met all criteria for safe practice as approved by the governing body within the Association. In addition, in 2024 I commenced as a trainer for the NZ School of Professional Hypnotherapy in Wellington.
I came from an extensive background in corporate leadership and coaching before transitioning to full-time therapeutic coaching. I harness several modalities not least of which is hypnotherapy, and I have studied and qualified in all techniques that I incorporate.
I specialise in supporting people to step into their own unique gifts, creating aligned beliefs and behaviours for living the life you want. You don’t need to be fixed. You’re not broken. However, if you often find yourself procrastinating or self-sabotaging, you are not alone. Together we can work to update your confidence, reduce your anxiety and stress, and get you out of oscillating between making progress and then falling back to old habits.
Some of my clients have significant backgrounds of trauma. If this is you, the beauty of all the work we would do together, is that it doesn’t require you to share intimate and often shameful details to get the results. You share as much or as little as is right for you. For some, it is the first time they have ever shared their trauma with another human being. I can hold space for you without shock or pity, but with empathy, respect, dignity, and compassion as we gently but quickly shift the emotional stress response that is robbing you of living your life. The work we do together eliminates the emotional trauma response leaving you with your objective memory intact along with the wisdom gained, but you are no longer hijacked by it.
I provide practical tools you can incorporate while we work together and that are useful long afterwards. I’m also part educator, champion, curious coach, and accountability partner on our journey together.
So often clients share that the benefits of our time far exceed their expectations. Typically, when we resolve emotional trauma, the body responds with lowered cortisol and adrenaline that cause us to always be on high alert. When these drop back to normal, many clients report greater general resilience and coping skills, clarity of mind, greater energy and focus, less aches and pains, better sleep, less need to reach for numbing agents like alcohol, substances or junk food. The whole person feels better. And most also say they wish they found hypnotherapy earlier!
